Introduction
Products Description
Air Venting Membrane is a specific membrane that is used in building constructions to offer ventilation while also protecting them from moisture and other bad weather conditions. This membrane is often constructed of polypropylene or other synthetic materials and has a microporous structure that allows air to pass through while blocking water vapor and other liquids from entering.
Working Principle
The breathable membrane's functioning concept is based on the diffusion and penetration of gas molecules. Gas molecules exhibit thermal mobility and will continually diffuse from high-concentration to low-concentration locations. The breathable membrane's material has a specific pore structure, with medium-sized pores that allow gas molecules to pass through while preventing liquids and solid particles from passing through. When there is a pressure difference on both sides of the breathable membrane, gas molecules diffuse from the high-pressure to the low-pressure side, resulting in a breathable effect.
Features
High air permeability: The breathable membrane has a high air permeability and can quickly discharge interior gases, allowing internal and exterior air pressure to be balanced.
Waterproofness: The breathable membrane effectively prevents liquid flow while still providing good waterproof performance.
Dustproofing: The breathable membrane prevents solid particles from entering the interior, keeping it clean.
Corrosion resistance: Breathable membranes are typically quite resistant to corrosion and can be employed in tough environments.
Thinness: Breathable membranes are often very thin and lightweight, with little substantial impact on the appearance or performance of the things they cover.
Sinceriend hydrophobic ePTFE, with excellent sealing capability and optimiz zed water & bacterial resistance, is therefore used in a wide range of medical air venting applications, involving infusion therapy, transducer protector, dr rug delivery, aqueous collection, and drug preservation. The constant water/alcohol/oil repelled ability of the porous ePTFE membrane promises long-time gas venting function, and the typical pore size range ensures no microorganism & particle entrance during gas venting. A wide range of bac cking (support) materials support multiple sealing technologies.
