Here are the steps to install EPTFE Venting Membrane:
1. Preparation
First, carefully verify that the specifications and model of the EPTFE venting membrane match the installation requirements. Prepare necessary tools, including sealant, screws, wrenches, and sharp cutters. Clean the installation area thoroughly to remove oil, dust, and other contaminants, ensuring a flat and dry surface for proper installation.
2. Positioning and Cutting
Based on the equipment's mounting holes or reserved space, mark the membrane precisely. Use a sharp cutter to cut the membrane. The cut size should be slightly larger than the actual mounting hole, usually leaving an extra margin of about 5 - 10mm for sealing and fixing. When cutting, keep the cutter steady to avoid uneven edges or damage.
3. Installation and Fixing
Place the cut membrane accurately on the installation position, aligning it with the mounting holes. Secure the membrane to the equipment using screws or clips. When tightening the screws, apply even pressure to prevent wrinkling or damaging the membrane. If clips are used, ensure they are firmly attached. Apply a layer of sealant evenly around the mounting holes with a thickness of approximately 1 - 2mm.
4. Sealing Treatment
Apply another layer of sealant to the contact area between the membrane's edge and the equipment to ensure a complete seal. Fill the gaps thoroughly to prevent the entry of dust and moisture. After sealing, clean any residual sealant on the membrane's surface promptly to avoid blocking the venting holes.
5. Inspection and Testing
Conduct a pressure test on the equipment with the installed membrane. Gradually increase the pressure according to the equipment's standards and observe for any air leakage. An airtightness test can also be carried out using professional equipment. Additionally, check the membrane's surface for any signs of damage, wrinkles, or unevenness. If issues are found, address them immediately to ensure the membrane functions properly
