First, turn off the power of the connected equipment to ensure safe operation. Prepare tools such as a soft brush, a clean rag, a neutral detergent, a bucket, and a vacuum cleaner. If the vent is located at a high position, a stable ladder must be prepared.
2. External cleaning
First, use a soft brush to gently brush away dust, spider webs and other obvious debris on the surface of the Metal Protective Vent. For stubborn stains, dilute the neutral detergent in a bucket in proportion, dip a rag in the solution, and gently wipe the stain to avoid scratching the metal surface with excessive force. After wiping, wipe off the detergent residue with a clean wet rag, and finally wipe off the moisture with a dry rag to prevent the metal from rusting.
3. Vent and filter cleaning
If the vent has a removable metal filter, carefully remove the filter. Use a soft brush to carefully brush away the dust and impurities on the filter. You can also soak the filter in a diluted neutral detergent solution for 15-20 minutes, gently shaking the filter during the soaking period to fully remove the impurities. After soaking, rinse the filter with clean water and dry it naturally or use a clean rag to dry the water. For the inside of the vent, use a vacuum cleaner and place the suction head close to the vent to remove the accumulated dust inside. If there is a lot of dust, you can first use a soft brush to loosen the dust, and then use a vacuum cleaner to clean it.
4. Assembly and inspection
Replace the cleaned and dried filter back to the Metal Protective Vent in its original position to ensure that it is firmly installed. Check the various parts of the vent to see if there are any signs of looseness or damage. After confirming that everything is correct, turn on the power of the device and observe whether the vent is operating normally and whether there is any abnormal noise or vibration.
