Precautions for waterproof and breathable membrane in curtain wall construction

1. Where the corner code passes through the waterproof and breathable membrane, the integrity of the waterproof and breathable membrane should be ensured as far as possible. The waterproof and breathable membrane is flooded to completely seal the corner code with the waterproof and breathable membrane. The sealing part and the corner code should be bonded by no less than 2cm.

2. Treatment of door and window openings: Lap the waterproof and breathable membrane with the window frame and door frame, use the waterproof and breathable membrane to seal the water in a straight line, and use the waterproof and breathable membrane to seal the corner with curved water flooding. The bonding width between the sealing part and the window frame and door frame shall not be less than 2cm, and the bonding width at the corner shall not be less than 10cm. The installation sequence is: the lower part of the door and window frame → the lower corner of the door and window frame → the side frame of the door and window frame → the upper corner of the door and window frame → the upper part of the door and window frame → sealing.

3. During roof construction, the waterproof and breathable membrane should be laid along the water direction of the roof, with a lap length of 10cm. Wrap a butyl strip around it to seal.

4. The waterproof and breathable membrane should not be exposed to ultraviolet rays for a long time. In order to avoid damage after construction, the exterior finishing project should be completed as soon as possible.

5. During the construction process, try to avoid penetration and opening on the waterproof and breathable membrane, and try to ensure the integrity of the waterproof and breathable membrane. If openings or penetrations are necessary, seal the penetrations and openings with butyl tape.

6. The waterproof and breathable membrane has no obvious flame-retardant effect. Welding of the curtain wall engineering connectors should be avoided as much as possible. The open flame operation (including welding) should be arranged before the construction of the waterproof and breathable membrane. It is strictly forbidden to conduct open flame operations (including welding) near the waterproof and breathable membrane. construction).

7. The waterproof and breathable membrane used in this project is 1.5 meters wide and 50 meters long. When laying the waterproof and breathable membrane, it should be laid from bottom to top, lapped along the water, 15cm from top to bottom, and 10cm from left to right. The wool is fixed with rock wool nails, the fixed distance is 50cm, and the rock wool nails at the fixed place are sealed with butyl tape. The area of the seal is based on the complete coverage of the nail head with butyl tape.
