Guide to peeling off and removing the waterproof breathable membrane:
Method 1: Roll up the release material to separate the waterproof and breathable diaphragm from the release material. Separate to about 1-2mm and then use a camera to extract the diaphragm. See the following diagram (1);
Method 2: Place the product on a flat table, gently lift the diaphragm with a picker, lift it 1-2mm, and then gently remove the diaphragm from the release material with a light clamp of the picker;
Place diaphragm
1. Accurately place the diaphragm within the target limit range. After placing and positioning the diaphragm, use your fingers to apply a pressure of about 30,000 Pa vertically on the diaphragm for 5 to 10 seconds; (if there is a secondary mucosal patch) , the previous diaphragm should be discarded, clean the pasting area first, and then reattach the new diaphragm).
2. In order to ensure effective pasting, a rubber auxiliary pressing tool is used, which must match the annular backing adhesive. The rubber hardness is about 30 degrees, the thickness can be 2 to 5m, the pressing pressure is about 30,000 Pa, and the auxiliary pressing time is about 24 hours.
Inspection after installation of waterproof and breathable membrane
1. Is it well positioned?
2. Check whether the waste material of the release material is attached to the diaphragm. If so, it should be removed.
3. If there are ash-free methods and foreign objects, they should be blown away.
When installing adhesive-backed waterproof and breathable products on the shell, the following comprehensive factors are very important:
1. The surface of the casing should be smooth; the installation surface of the casing should be clean and dry, and the surface contour should have no jagged or sharp edges;
2. Avoid direct sunlight, avoid being close to heat sources, and avoid dust; the storage time should not exceed 1 year.
3. Arrange the diaphragm installation position in an upright direction to avoid dust accumulation.
4. Apply an obvious positioning line at the location where the diaphragm is installed, and there must be a limit step.
5. Prepare blunt-edged tweezers. Do not use sharp-nose tweezers that may damage waterproof and breathable products.
Operation guide
1). Operators should wear latex-free gloves or finger cots when operating adhesive-backed breathable products;
2). Avoid direct contact with the effective breathable area (Figure 1) or adhesive ring of the product;
3).Keep all sharp or jagged objects away from the expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e-PTFE) breathable membrane;
