The principle of waterproof and breathable membrane can be divided into two basic principles: microporous and hydrophilic groups. The former is generally used for waterproof and breathable membranes, because the diameter of water droplets is about 20 microns, while the diameter of water vapor molecules is only 0.0004 microns. Or so, and the micropore diameter of the waterproof and breathable membrane material is generally much smaller than the diameter of the water droplet and larger than the diameter of the water vapor molecule. There is a huge difference between the diameters of the two. Or because of the surface tension of water droplets, water molecules cannot pass through the waterproof and breathable membrane material, which also avoids condensation of water inside the electronic product and makes the breathable membrane waterproof.

Therefore, when electronic products or equipment are in an environment with relatively high humidity, the waterproof and breathable membrane will play its due role to prevent water from entering the interior. At the same time, the internal water vapor is diffused to prevent water vapor from condensing into water droplets inside electronic products or equipment; the waterproof and breathable membrane can do a good job of dustproof, waterproof, breathable and heat dissipation!
